Pilot.Life initially aimed to create a nightlife “skip the line” app but, with Actualize’s guidance, pivoted to build an “OpenTable” for nightlife, focusing on table reservations at upscale venues. Actualize played a pivotal role in rebranding, pitch development, and talent acquisition, leading to a fully subscribed pre-seed round. The result? A successful launch with commitments from multiple venues, setting Pilot.Life on a promising path in the nightlife industry.

Challenge

When Pilot.Life approached Actualize, the company was building and positioning a line-skipping platform that would allow patrons at nightlife venues to pay an extra cover charge to bypass the lines at those venues. Initially aiming to create a "skip the line" app for nightlife, Actualize suggested a strategic shift to expand the market opportunity, building an MVP of an "OpenTable" for nightlife. We focused on the low-hanging fruit of booking bottle service and tables at higher-end nightlife venues.

How we solved it

Actualize played a pivotal role in guiding Pilot.Life through the MVP pivot, brand essence, and rebranding process. We identified the brand architecture, brand pillars, mission, values, and brand identity, leading to a comprehensive rebrand that aligns with Pilot.Life's vision and goals.

In addition to the brand essence and rebrand, Actualize crafted Pilot’s positioning and built the pitch narrative, which resulted in a fully subscribed pre-seed round. We also identified and found critical employee and advisor talent, who are all still part of the Pilot team. 



Results

Pilot.Life reached a fully subscribed Pre-Seed round, began the core team, and advisory board building, and had a successful launch with multiple venue commitments.
